Basing a marriage on something as subjective as “love” (no one seems to really be able to define this) is a real problem. Marriages are like forming a corporation and successful marriages have clearly defined roles, boundaries, responsibilities, budgets and tons of compromise. Regardless of what the Beatles sang, love is not all you need.
